Up and Coming Activities 2017
The Pumpkin Carving Contest was a HUGE Success….. Congratulations to all the winners of the contest.
All our children had participated in this contest and all are Winners in their own way….
We are hosting a Pumpkin Auction with the intention to raise some funds to purchase books for the SMS Library. The SMS Library was set up in September 2017, with the intention to cultivate a love for reading among our students. Everyday of the week, the teachers will borrow books from the library to read to the children.
Our intention is to provide story books of all kinds of titles.
Therefore kindly visit our Pumpkin Gallery located at the Main Reception area and place your bid for the Pumpkin that you like to purchase. The bid will start today, Friday October 20, 2017 and ends at 5pm on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 5pm. We look forward to your kind and generous support.
A copy of the Silent Auction will be placed against each pumpkin for parents/guardians to bid against.

In early 2017 the Province of Ontario set out Ontario’s Renewed Early Years and Child Care Policy Framework in an effort to increase quality daycare spaces throughout the province but what does that mean for parents, looking to get their children into daycare. At this point not much as it begins with policy, what parents really need are tips on ensuring that their children are enrolled in a quality program, like those offered by Sunrise Montessori for Infant, Toddler, Casa, and Elementary aged children.
The following are the dates and times are for SUNRISE OPEN HOUSE.
Please feel free to drop in during these dates and times or you can also call ahead to let us know you are coming.
June 3rd, 10th, and 17th (from 10 am to 1 pm )
There are many decisions that go into selecting the right school for your child – public, separate, or private schools all are vying for the moral, economic, and social future of your child so you want to select a school that reflects future social needs in ensuring your daughter or son has the necessary advantages and skills to be successful in life.
Please be informed that we are having individual class photos taken on Tuesday, May 2, 2017.
Please dress up your children in Full school uniform. Thank you.
April 22, 2017 is Earth Day. The theme for Earth Day 2017 is Environmental and Climate Literacy. To commemorate this event our teachers and children will be having an in depth discussion on this theme and their role in helping to preserve our environment on Monday, April 24, 2017. Our mission is to encourage the children to appreciate Mother Nature and therefore we will have a “Help Preserve Our School Community Program” on Monday, April 24, 2017.
The children will be helping to pick up litter and dried leaves and others around our school. Please provide a home shirt/blouse and a pair of gloves for this event. Thank you for your support. Parents are encouraged to join in this program. Please check with the individual classroom on their outdoor schedule if you are participating.
The enrollment for Summer Camp 2017 is now open. Deadline for registration is April 30, 2017.
